'Poolside Glamour' - Resort

'Poolside Glamour', explores a playful fusion of East Meets West; celebrating traditional Indian artisan craftsmanship with a 1950's playful twist!

The collection draws on the Western post war period when a new economy, fashion style and culture began to bloom; handheld picnic baskets, tea dresses, petticoats, kitten heels and Shelette Beach Cars! Whilst musing on 1950's Bollywood stars; Nimmi, Rajshree and of course Meena Kumari, "Often remembered as the Cinderella of Bollywood".

The collections playful nostalgic poolside colour palette and dream like mood, draws on Aaron Slims legendary photographic series, "Poolside Glamour" and the exaggerated idea of ''The Good Life" in the post war period and Tim Walker's dreamlike photographic series 'Blue Elephant & Temple' and 'Lily Takes a Trip', photographed in beautiful historical secret palaces with jewel bright dream escapes locations across India for Vogue.
